To Install the VMWare tools, if for nothing else you need this for networking support, you will click on install VMWare tools on the VMWare server.  Then go to the Core server and go to the CDRom drive.  Probably the D: or E: drive.  Now type setup and hit enter.  This will bring up the normal install routine for the VMWare tools.
